When choosing a duvet you first need to consider the Tog rating that is right for you and your bedroom.
Tog refers to how warm the duvet is going to feel. The higher the number, the warmer the duvet. You then choose the right tog based on how warm your bedroom, whether you get hot at night and whether your wear nightwear or not.
Then you need to consider the combination of price and quality. A cheap duvet will tend to have a thin polyester cover over a standard hollowfibre filling, as you move up in price the standard of the filling and of the cover and of course the quality of the construction improves. And like most other things you get what you pay for.
