One of the problems with a traditional mattress protector is that it sits underneath your usual bottom sheet. It almost becomes part of the mattress instead of part of your bedding and often gets left behind when you change your bed. Now there is a EcoSleep, but it is more than just a waterproof fitted sheet.
The upper surface of EcoSleep is made from a natural fibre called Tencel. Tencel is grown as a crop, just like cotton. however it has many advantages over cotton. For a start it is more viable from an environmental point of view. it requires less water, less irrigation and is more sustainable.
The finished product is also stronger than cotton, yet it is as soft as silk. Importantly, it is much more absorbent than cotton, this means that it can be produced as a flat woven sheet rather than having the traditional terry towelling loop surface. This high absorbency means that moisture and perspiration is quickly soaked up and wicked out over the surface where it evaporate more quickly. This gives you a drier more comfortable sleeping environment.
On the underside is a microfine breathable waterproof membrane. This is quiet and rustle free in use, it is breathable which means that you won’t become hot and uncomfortable. It is also dust mite proof, protecting you from contact with these tiny creatures that live in an unprotected mattress. In fact dust mites cannot survive in a mattress protected by EcoSleep.
EcoSleep can be machine washed at temperatures up to 90c and tumble dried if required. It comes in a variety of colours and sizes.
Replace both your existing bottom fitted sheet and your mattress protector with EcoSleep.
